Position Purpose:

The Junior Administrative Support position offers vital administrative assistance to the Women’s Justice League (WJL) Board of Directors. This role demands a highly organized, professional, and empathetic individual who can efficiently handle administrative duties while remaining sensitive to the challenging nature of WJL's mission to aid women impacted by domestic violence.

About WJL:

Women’s Justice League is a charity focused on helping women who have faced domestic violence. Therefore, the ideal candidate should exhibit kindness, professionalism, and resilience when managing sensitive information and interacting with stakeholders.

Essential Criteria:

  1. A strong willingness and capability to perform administrative tasks under the General Manager's guidance.

  2. Outstanding organizational and time management skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.

  4. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently when needed, and seek guidance as necessary.

  5. Strong interpersonal skills, along with literacy and numeracy competencies.

  6. Capability to maintain accurate and confidential records with discretion.

  7. Willingness to follow instructions and established procedures.

  8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment, exhibit professionalism, and show enthusiasm for the position.

  9. Punctuality, reliability, and flexibility to adapt to changing responsibilities.

  10. High attention to detail and problem-solving skills, even when information is limited.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and office support to the Board, including managing email correspondence, assisting with administrative projects, and updating website content.

  • Utilize platforms such as Stripe for payment processing and website management.

  • Manage WJL’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages in collaboration with the General Manager.

  • Assist in creating and distributing the monthly newsletter.

  • Organize and maintain records, including filing, documentation, and archiving.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

  • Record, update, and distribute meeting minutes for all board meetings.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Board.
